Australian finance market needs to lift online performance

The finance industry knows better than most that a strong digital presence is everything. It’s critical to ensure your entire website performance, so content like; credit card offers, home loan research and market comparisons can be easily found.

In this report, 50 of Australia's largest finance companies were assessed using Siteimprove’s Digital Certainty Index™ (DCI), a 100-point quality scale. Results explored using the DCI™ framework, reveal that industry websites are barely performing.

  • Only 18% reached the recommended score for quality content
  • Nearly 64% rank below average in user experience, which has a direct bearing on consumer trust 
  • On average 41% of website content is not accessible to people with disabilities
